The nightmare of leaving your personal belongings in a hotel room is hard enough for you to take, but imagine the maids who have to find your personal belongings.

Now we are not saying they will have much to complain about when it comes to finding a bit of cash or a nice top you bought to take home. No, we are talking about the rather strange objects you take away with you and fail to take back.
Each year a list is compiled of the weirdest things left behind in a hotel room and we have found our favourites to make you go ‘eew!’

Wooden Leg

How on this earth can you leave your wooden leg behind? Did they not realise they didn’t have it when they were hopping out to check out or even driving home? Each to their own I guess.

The maid must’ve spent a good few terrified minutes trying to work out whether this scary beast was actually alive or not. And how did they get this past hotel reception?

17 exotic snakes (12 venomous)

The snakes were found in a motel room after an unusual smell alerted guests.
Their owner had left them after receiving a court order telling him he could not keep the snakes.

Really nice of him to pass them onto someone else though!
